time for an update? Going to seperate all the posts
ROBOTICSI've been working quite a bit since 2009 started. Dealt with the FLL (First Lego League Competition) project and the Training project too. FLL was a crash course. I initially took the girls team, but in the end, switched over to Li Ren's and Klement's teams. They did the entire mission in 8 days. a notable achievement. something which even i would find hard to accompolish. But they spent like 4-5 days changing robot and only 2 days programming. We couldnt make the huge attachments we planned due to the lack of time. Those attachments would have helped us win =(. However, even with 8 days, we managed to accompolish feats that we couldn't imagine. full marks at rulang. however, expectedly, we couldnt get full marks at the competition. However, at the competition area, i was very proud that Klement's team won the Quality Design Award for his robot. Li Ren focussed more on the mission, so it was quite expected for him to not get the award. However, he placed a lot of hard work too! Great Job! The girls team won some sort of Stylo Milo award for their costumes. haha. Anyway, due to their wins, we (me, kevin and maybe Mr Samuel) will have to treat them LOBSTER! Haha, we promised them that if they won. Besides that, Juying won the performance awards. Quite suprised that they didn't win Overall. I guess everyone was suprised about that. SCGS won overall. Oddly, Juying won Performance and Design awards, so they should have won overall. They were noticebly upset. No comments over who deserved to win the Peformance awards. Anyway, immediately after that, had to start training Rulang Students in robotics. Made a journey to Lianhua to train them also Changkat Primary School at Tampines. Anyway, work was very enriching. The trainers said that im good with kids. Ice wanted me tocontinue to help her with training. Unfortuantely, as of 22 January 2009, i left my job. School's going to start soon! haha. Met a couple of colleagues besides kevin, like Jason and Zheng Hong. Haha, clowns... I also went to Swiss to help them a bit. The next batch are obviously inferior to the previous batch but they more than make up for it with their dedication and passion. I'll be there to continue to assist Swiss.
RESULTS1 day after FLL (First Lego League Competition) ended, which was on 11 january, was my O Level results on 12 January. Irony of life. 4 years back, in 2004, 1 day after my FLL, was my PSLE results. I screwed up FLL in 2004, and the next day, i realised i screwed up PSLE. This time around, my team in FLL did very well, so i was hoping for a good result for O's. On that fateful monday, i woke up and started to TRY and calm down by watching Gundam OO season 2. After watcing, i went to Macs to meet up with the rest of the gang before going to school and then going to MRT station, meeting up with the gang, having lunch at Hawker Centre number 3 before returning to School. Well, i was of course nervous to death. So when we reached school, i waited for results with the rest with a lot of fear. Mr Seow totally freaked us out by saying something like "You guys did very badly for Biology". He even freaked Kelvin out by asking him if he wrote rubbish in his bio paper before shaking his head in disapproval. Kelvin ACTUALLY cried! hahahaha. BOYS BRIGADE HEAD! hahaha.Results came out, and i was seriously thankful to get 7pts. Wish it could have been 6, but its OK. Human Error, gave me a 7 which i am ever so thankful for. Anyway, lots of my friends got grades that wiped the smile of my face. A lot of them didn't get the grades they deserved. The few things positive was that a lot of people got A1 and A2 for Combined Humanities and that almost EVERYONE in 4E6 got an A1 or A2 in BIOLOGY! Mr Seow TRICKED us! anyway, lots of people didn't do too well and i hope that they get in to the JC that they desire =). 6A people did rather well! Almost everyone from 6A'04, got below 10! Comes to show that Lianhua students shine in Os, not PSLE! hahahaha.I'm hoping to get into either RJC or NJC. Hope!

Watched all these in Theathers. I think i left out 2 more. But i am a Movie addict, so its no biggie. I watched at least 30 movies at home! Renting movies and borrowing from Iian and some other friends. The rental company made big bucks out of me.

But schools starting pretty soon and i'm highy doubtful i can catch all of these movies =(. WORST CASE SCENARIO, watch alone? haha. BUT NO WAY, i haven't watched any movie alone since like P4! Must Find PEOPLE! (and time).
OUTINGS
Been going out quite a lot with CCA friends and Class Friends and Nick (who falls into the catgory of primary school friends or more like "Life-Long Friends"!) Anyway, there was christmas dinners where we blew 40 Bucks a head and all. more recently, i broughtYf, Car and Yx out. We watched Passengers which has got to be a Thinking movie which ends predictably. In the end, everyone was dead the whole time. Heh. Then we went to Swensens and had ice cream on me. Me and YF finished the earthquake easily and the girls ate some other ice cream (nutty mighty and choco pops or something like that!). Walked around and flew home.
Just on saturday, had a CCA Reunion dinner which had like what, 6 PEOPLE! Damn MISERABLE! me, car, wen zhang, esther, jia sheng and "food-ban boy", Guo Hui. Guo Hui was supposed to be on a FOOD BAN, but broke it. Haha, canoeing kid. Lots of people couldn't make it. We had fun eating and chit-chatting. Later after Jia Sheng and Guo Hui went home, me, ester, car and wen zhang went to the arcade. Played daytona. I Was FIRST until car lost control of her car and slammed into me, making me THIRD, while she came in SECOND and wen zhang came in FIRST. NO FAIR! so CRUDE tactics! =X
OHYAH, I also went out last friday to swiss. Was wearing school pants with a Robotics Tee. I met BK first at my bus stop. he was wearing HOME CLOTHES. Worst Of All, HE DIDNT TELL ME THAT I COULD WEAR HOME CLOTHES! Anyway, he wore a pair of Topman Jeans which he CLAIMED tohave bought for 30 bucks to 40 bucks. It looked great! So i told him that if we couldnt catch a movie, we would go to Topman and buy the jeans. He was hessitant, but said OK. We went to school to see CNY celebrations which were kind of bad and talked to a hell lot of teachers. After that, we went for lunch at West Mall's Burger King. We met up aith Ben and Mel there. We went to the Cinema and we couldn't decide on a movie to watch (expectedly). Not wanting to go home so early, we decided to go to Orchard and buy CNY clothes. So we went to orchard and me and BK attempted to find the 30-40 bucks Jeans. after finding the Topman Shop, we searched, but only found jeans from 59 and above. So we went to Bugis, where BK was SURE the jeans were. We went there to find the jeans also costing from 59+. Then he realised, maybe he was wrong. Maybe it was 60 bucks. ME AND BEN (who came to bugis with the both of us) ALMOST KILLED HIM! Kanye West! haha. in the end, bought a pair of Jeans anyway and went home after following ben to shop around BUGIS Junction. Went home after that. So those were the mega 3 outings in the past 1 week. Tiring but yah. Going to send the Jeans for alteration. Waist size is TOO HUGE! haha.
